What each variation changes

A mode name is a warning to reset your assumptions. The normal six hand categories may stay recognisable, but wild cards, reversed strength or betting restrictions can change the best decision.

Joker and Hukam modes

A joker substitutes for another card to complete a stronger category. The important detail is selection: a random rank, a revealed card, a suit or a designated set of ranks can produce very different probabilities.

“Hukam” is sometimes used for a trump-like or revealed-card mechanic, but implementations differ. Treat the on-screen explanation as evidence and do not transfer a rule from another app merely because the mode name matches.

Example

If sevens are wild, 7♣ Q♠ Q♦ may complete a trail of queens under one rule. Under a suit-only Hukam rule, it may not. The wild-card definition is decisive.

Muflis changes the objective

Muflis—also called lowball in some descriptions—rewards the lower hand instead of the usual higher hand. That sounds simple, but tables can differ on whether category order is fully reversed, how aces count and how identical low hands tie.

Do not assume a normal high-card strategy carries over. Read the ranking panel and, if available, observe a low-stakes demonstration round first.

AK47, Potblind and named modes

AK47

The common convention makes aces, kings, fours and sevens wild. That creates more completed pairs, sequences and trails than a normal deck. Confirm whether the wild card retains its own identity when that would be more useful.

Potblind

Potblind usually signals a betting constraint rather than a new hand category. The exact rule can involve remaining blind, a preset pot or visibility limits. Because those mechanics affect spend rate, set a chip and time limit before entering.

Royal or promotional rooms

Publisher listings may name additional tables, tournaments or seasonal rooms. A label is not enough to document a rule. We only add a mode as a firm entry when an attributable rule description is available.

Five checks before joining a variation

  1. Read which cards or ranks are wild.
  2. Confirm whether high or low hands win.
  3. Check A-2-3 and A-K-Q order.
  4. Read blind, seen, side-show and pot limits.
  5. Set a session limit before experimenting with a faster mode.
